Avnet Abacus receives prestigious Molex awards

Avnet Abacus has received important recognition from Molex, a global specialist in electronics and connectivity innovation, for its achievements registered in 2024.

The 2024 European Distributor of the Year and Regional Distributor of the Year – Northern Europe awards recognise Avnet Abacus’ achievements in a year described as “difficult” for the entire industry.

The distributor was recognised for turning significant projects into profitable outcomes – including growth across the region in point-of-sale (POS) transactions for I/O connectors, IP products, and RF connectors – while maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with key customers.

“Avnet Abacus has effectively expanded its relative sales weight relative to the market and solidified its position as Molex’s number one distributor for demand creation,” commented Simone Spiess, Director of Distribution, Europe, Molex. “This long-standing collaboration is based on strong relationships at every level; Avnet Abacus has demonstrated an unquestionable commitment to the Molex brand, in particular by continuing to invest in the warehouse.”

“These awards underscore the strength and success of the long-standing collaboration between Avnet Abacus and Molex,” said Rudy Van Parijs, President of Avnet Abacus. “They reflect Molex’s appreciation for Avnet Abacus’ strategic approach, high performance and commitment to growth.”
