IC’Alps, a French company specialising in the design and supply of full-custom ASICs (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) and custom IP design, has joined GlobalFoundries’ (GF) GlobalSolutions ecosystem.
This collaboration strengthens the long-standing relationship between the two companies and aims to streamline ASIC development and accelerate time-to-market for advanced semiconductor solutions. It will benefit customers targeting GF’s CMOS technologies by providing optimised design and manufacturing support.
By joining the GlobalSolutions ecosystem, IC’Alps secures direct access to GF’s global manufacturing resources, bolstering its ability to deliver high-performance, power-efficient, and cost-effective ASICs at scale. During the past years, IC’Alps demonstrated its design capabilities with well over 1.5M units manufactured under GF’s 22FDX platform, and other design phases in various GF process technologies.
The GlobalSolutions ecosystem is designed to strengthen partnerships between GlobalFoundries and trusted design and IP partners, helping customers overcome design complexities and speed up product development cycles across various market segments, including automotive, industrial, medical, IoT and security. With the support of GlobalSolutions partners, GF has been able to deliver over 2,220 differentiated customer designs in the past five years.
IC’Alps’ inclusion in the programme reflects its proven expertise in custom ASIC development and reinforces its mission to provide secure, high-reliability semiconductor solutions from design to delivery. Moreover, the public on-going process for joining SEALSQ Corp, with over 20 years’ expertise in secure design, will allow IC’Alps to propose solutions including NIST compliant post-quantum cryptography features.
