During the FAST 2024 conference held in Dresden from 9-11th July, Infineon honoured Rutronik with the ‘Best Automotive Demand Creation Distributor’ award.
This accolade recognises Rutronik’s efforts in generating demand and driving innovation within the automotive industry.
“Rutronik is deeply honoured to receive the ‘Best Automotive Demand Creation Distributor Award’ from Infineon at FAST 2024. Our longstanding partnership has been built on trust, collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence,” said Ralf Kern, Line Manager for Infineon at Rutronik.
Rutronik was celebrated for its performance in promoting Infineon’s products and solutions, with a particular emphasis on design-in projects in the European automotive sector. As a trusted partner for over twenty years, Rutronik has significantly contributed to the widespread adoption of Infineon’s high-quality automotive products.
Rutronik’s commitment to delivering value-added services, technical support, and tailored solutions has reinforced its reputation as a key player in electronics distribution. This award underscores the strong partnership between Infineon and Rutronik, highlighting their collaborative efforts in advancing the future of mobility.
“Rutronik is a trusted partner when it comes to consulting customers and providing field engineering know-how. Their dedication to design-in projects and pre-development support has been essential in our joint success,” said Ricardo Echevarria Exposito, Head of Distribution Marketing Automotive EMEA at Infineon. “Rutronik’s technical expertise ensures seamless integration of Infineon’s solutions into diverse applications. We value their contributions and look forward to continuing this dynamic collaboration.”
A notable aspect of this partnership is the inclusion of Infineon microcontrollers in the Rutronik System Solutions Base Boards. Central to the Rutronik Development Kit RDK4 is the automotive microcontroller PSoC 4100S Max, which features a cost-effective Arm Cortex-M0+ core and next-generation CAPSENSE technology. The kit also incorporates Infineon’s OPTIREG Mid-Range+ system base chip, providing high integration, performance, and scalability. This chip supports functional safety for motor control units with its voltage diagnostics and monitoring capabilities, essential for automotive applications.
Rutronik System Solutions enhances the development process by offering software examples and integrating the Base Board with Infineon’s ModusToolbox development environment. Additionally, the Arduino interface facilitates a wide range of applications and easy integration with other boards.
The Rutronik Development Kit RDK4, featuring Infineon’s microcontrollers, serves as a comprehensive platform for rapid prototyping and product development in automotive motor control units. Applications include electric tailgate control, seat heating, and air conditioning, showcasing the versatility and practicality of this collaborative innovation.
