Mouser Electronics and Polyphaser have signed a global distribution agreement covering RF surge protection solutions, filtering, and coaxial cable products specifically supporting communication systems.
PolyPhaser’s 400MHz to 2.5GHz RF coaxial surge protectors are designed to defend equipment from Electromagnetic Pulses (EMP) or power surges caused by lightning or other electrical disturbances. These surge protectors feature 600W of maximum power handling, 1,000µJ of maximum throughput energy, and a 50Ω impedance. These surge protectors are well-suited for Wi-Fi, GPS, and land mobile radios.
The GX Coaxial RF surge protectors are designed for RF coaxial applications requiring DC current on the coaxial line. These surge protectors are ideal for GPS and other active antenna systems operating from DC to 2,700MHz. The GX protectors are engineered for 50Ω networks and utilise PolyPhaser’s patented hybrid surge protection technology, combining SASD, MOV, and gas-tube components for excellent performance.
The IS-B50 Coaxial RF surge protectors are designed to protect HF, UHF, and VHF radios against lightning events. These protectors cover a broad 1.5 to 1,000MHz frequency range and feature N-Type and UHF connectors, high-power handling up to 3kW, and a 20kA surge rating. The IS-B50 coaxial RF surge protectors are CE and RoHS compliant, offering flexible mounting options and versions for nuclear EMP protection.
The TSX and TUSX Bulkhead Coaxial RF surge protectors utilise a patented spiral design that enables an instantaneous response to lightning surges, protecting critical hardware while maintaining RF performance. They operate at 40kA surge current, with maximum power ratings of 2.5kW and 500W, and frequency ranges of 698 to 2,700MHz (TSX) and 300MHz to 1.2GHz (TUSX). These surge protectors are compliant with RoHS, are IP67 rated, and are ideal for cellular communication systems, public safety systems, emergency response systems, and industrial communications.
