New President and new Vice-President of EPCIA elected

On 21st October 2025, at the last formal meeting of the European Passive Components Industry Association (EPCIA) in Dillenburg, Germany, both Christophe Pottier, Murata Europe, and José Gató, VACUUMSCHMELZE & Co., were unanimously elected as President and Vice-President of EPCIA respectively.

Pottier, who served as Vice-President since 2020, succeeds Ralph Bronold, who had been President of EPCIA since 2008. Pottier expressed his sincere gratitude to Bronold for his many years of dedication as President of EPCIA and his excellent leadership.

Under the umbrella of the European Electronic Components Manufacturers’ Association (EECA), EPCIA represents a range of major passive components manufacturers, electrical & electronics associations, and technological research institutes being active in Europe. For many years, EPCIA has the most important association on a European level, representing the manifold interests of its members.

The EPCIA board will continue to form EPCIA as the major platform for all participants in the European passive components industry market and further expand the network to related industry players and associations.
