Waldom Electronics announces that Amphenol Industrial has signed Waldom’s 1% Sustainability Pledge and committed to dedicating the full 1% of its Green Stock earnings to its Tree Planting Initiative.
In addition, for every contribution made by Amphenol Industrial, Waldom will match it, further amplifying its collective impact and reinforcing the commitment to environmental sustainability.
This programme is dedicated to the restoration of mangrove forests along the coast of Kenya, a region noted for its ecological richness and vital role in maintaining healthy coastal environments. Mangroves play a critical role in carbon capture, shoreline defence, and providing a habitat for diverse species. Through the collaboration with veritree – an organisation renowned for its rigorous three-step verification system and transparent GPS tracking – Waldom Electronics and Amphenol Industrial ensure that every stage of the tree planting process is meticulously monitored, enabling stakeholders to track progress in real time.
This partnership underscores the deep environmental commitment of both Waldom Electronics and Amphenol Industrial.
“Having Amphenol Industrial join this initiative is a significant milestone in our sustainability journey,” said Don Akery, CEO of Waldom. “Their commitment helps drive our collective industry effort to plant 500,000 trees this year, building on the 260,000 trees already planted. By working together, we can create a lasting environmental impact and support the communities we serve.”
