Farnell expands equipment portfolio

Farnell has expanded its range of test and measurement equipment with the introduction of the Keysight Technologies InfiniiVision HD3 Series oscilloscope.

This new addition is designed to help engineers detect even the most subtle and sporadic signal anomalies, enabling them to quickly identify and resolve issues across a variety of applications.

The Keysight HD3 Series oscilloscope features a 14-bit ADC and a low noise floor of 50 µVRMS, offering quality vertical resolution. These advanced capabilities are powered by a custom-built ASIC and deep memory architecture, making the HD3 Series an ideal tool for engineers requiring precise and reliable measurements.

Robert Saponas, Vice President and General Manager of Keysight Digital Photonics Centre of Excellence, highlighted the importance of the new series: “Recognising the need of engineers for quick and precise measurements for a variety of applications, we built the InfiniiVision HD3 from the ground up to deliver an exceptionally precise general use oscilloscope. As an industry-leading design, emulation, and test solutions provider, Keysight is excited to work with our partners to bring the new HD3 Series into the field to speed design debugging to accelerate time to market.”

Christelle Mazella, Senior Manager of Test & Measurement at Farnell, expressed enthusiasm about adding the HD3 Series to Farnell’s portfolio: “The Keysight InfiniiVision HD3 Series is more than just an oscilloscope; it’s a game-changer for engineers who demand absolute precision in their measurements. By incorporating this cutting-edge technology into our portfolio, we’re empowering our customers to achieve faster, more accurate debugging and to push the boundaries of what’s possible in their designs. At Farnell, we’re committed to delivering the tools that enable innovation, and the HD3 Series is a perfect example of that.”

The Keysight HD3 Series oscilloscope covers bandwidths ranging from 200MHz to 1GHz and offers several key benefits:

  • Precision: the 14-bit ADC resolution and low noise floor are combined with an industry-leading update rate of 1.3 million waveforms per second, allowing for rapid and accurate debugging
  • Cutting-edge technology: powered by a custom-built ASIC, the HD3 Series ensures higher sample rates and memory, uncompromised waveform update rates, high vertical resolution, and hardware-based functions such as mask, zone, and serial decode
  • Deep memory architecture: captures longer time spans at full sample rates, enhancing the accuracy and depth of measurement and analysis results
  • Redesigned user interface: a completely new interface offers versatile functionality, including bandwidth-limiting options, HD mode support, and custom measurement thresholds for greater flexibility
  • Full test automation: the oscilloscope includes an automatic fault-hunter feature that analyses glitches, slow edges, and runts while engineers focus on other tasks. It also supports a wide range of serial bus protocols and application software for automated measurements
  • Instant software upgrades: engineers can upgrade bandwidth, memory, and other features through software licensing, allowing them to adapt to evolving design needs without returning the device to the factory.

The Keysight HD3 Series oscilloscope is now available through element14 in APAC, Newark in North America, and Farnell in EMEA, providing engineers worldwide access to this advanced technology for improved precision and efficiency in their projects.
