Founded in 1946 by Bernie Bernbaum and Murray Fisher, PEI-Genesis began as a small electronics distribution business in Philadelphia, supplying vacuum tubes and test equipment to engineers in the post-World War II era. Through strategic acquisitions, product expansion, and a deep passion for emerging technologies, the company steadily grew alongside the evolving electronics industry.
Over the decades, PEI-Genesis expanded across North America, Europe, and Asia, building a global footprint supported by industry-leading connector expertise, rapid cycle times, and a reputation as a Trusted Advisor to engineers and OEMs.
In recent years, PEI-Genesis has continued to evolve to meet the growing and increasingly complex needs of its customers. In 2022, the company acquired Testco, Inc., a supplier to the industrial and power electronics markets, enhancing PEI-Genesis’ capabilities in engineered interconnect solutions for demanding applications. Building on this momentum, PEI-Genesis expanded into the RF connector market in 2023, broadening its portfolio to include high-frequency solutions for applications that require precision signal integrity, speed, and reliability.
More recently, PEI-Genesis announced the acquisition of Bel Stewart s.r.o., further strengthening its global footprint, technical expertise, and ability to support customers with expanded connector and value-added manufacturing capabilities across international markets. Together, these strategic initiatives reinforce PEI-Genesis’ commitment to innovation, specialisation, and serving as a trusted advisor as customer requirements continue to evolve.
