President of ESIA and Chief Executive Officer of Infineon Technologies Jochen Hanebeck welcomes the new Director-General: “René brings a wealth of experience and will be driving an ambitious and coherent vision for the future of ESIA. Our association and its members will continue to work closely with the European institutions to ensure competitiveness and sovereignty of the semiconductor industry. I am confident that under René’s leadership, ESIA will thrive and enter the next phase of growth and development.”
With Schröder’s appointment as Director-General, ESIA is reaffirming its commitment to strengthening Europe’s strategic role in the global semiconductor ecosystem. Under his leadership, the association will continue to advocate for policies that foster innovation, investment, and sustainable growth across the European Union.
