Smith names Janos Boszormenyi Vice President

Smith, a global distributor of electronic components and semiconductors, announced the appointment of Janos Boszormenyi to the role of Vice President, EMEA.

In this role, Janos will help develop business opportunities and provide support to Smith’s five offices in the region.

“Smith’s 40-year history and extensive global network provide a strong foundation to enhance and expand our presence in the EMEA region,” said Janos. “I am excited to collaborate with our European team members to strengthen existing partnerships and pursue new opportunities across this diverse market.”

Janos originally joined Smith in May 2021 as Director of Business Development, EMEA. He has nearly 20 years of sales-management experience in electronics manufacturing and distribution, which he will draw upon to expand and enhance Smith’s presence in this critical region.

“The European market is growing rapidly in response to the burgeoning demand for chips across a wide variety of applications, including artificial intelligence, industrial, and automotive,” said Marc Barnhill, Chief Executive Officer at Smith. “Janos will play an important role networking with key customers and broadening our market reach in Europe, and I look forward to seeing him excel in this position.”
