Supplier Spotlight: TME (Transfer Multisort Elektronik)

Supplier Spotlight: TME (Transfer Multisort Elektronik)

Founded in 1989 as small family-run electronics shop in Łódź, Poland, TME has evolved into one of the world’s leading global franchised distributors of electronic and electromechanical components, industrial automation, and workshop equipment. Over three decades, the company has transformed local ambition into international scale, supported by two state-of-the-art logistics centres, located in Łódź and Rzgów, that ship over 5,000 orders daily to customers in more than 150 countries.

Together, these facilities cover more than 40,000 square metres, with approximately 60% of warehouse operations fully automated. This high level of automation ensures both precision and speed – from order processing to packaging and dispatch – enabling TME to provide consistent next-day deliveries across Europe and fast logistics worldwide.

TME currently employs more than 1,500 people across all its global locations. Beyond its headquarters in Poland, the company operates offices in 12 countries across Europe, Asia, and North America, including regional entities that provide local customer support and market expertise. In 2019, the company established TME US, LLC, reinforcing its presence in the North American market. Most recently, TME has expanded further into Asia, opening a new subsidiary in India, reflecting the growing importance of this region in global electronics manufacturing and distribution.

Today, TME collaborates with over 1,300 authorised suppliers and offers more than 1.3 million products, many available directly from stock. As a franchised distributor of many brands, the company guarantees the authenticity, quality, and full traceability of all products in its portfolio – ensuring that customers worldwide can access reliable components exactly when they need them.
TME closed 2024 with consolidated revenues exceeding 1.2 billion PLN, which corresponds to approximately $325 million.

These results reflect sustained demand across all major product categories and the company’s continued expansion into key international markets.

What sets TME apart?

“TME’s competitive edge lies in its combination of global reach, authorised partnerships, and logistics excellence. As a franchised distributor, TME ensures product authenticity, consistent availability, and reliable delivery – factors that are critical for professional buyers and design engineers,” said Grzegorz Kobalczyk, Chief Commercial Officer, TME.

The company’s digital infrastructure allows customers to browse over 1.3 million items, check live inventory, and order components with confidence. Orders are processed with remarkable speed – often shipped within hours of placement – which makes TME a preferred sourcing partner for businesses that value dependability and short turnaround times.

At the same time, TME remains close to its customers through direct field presence. Sales representatives visit clients at their facilities, participate in industry trade fairs worldwide, and hold regular meetings with purchasing and engineering teams. These interactions allow TME to build lasting relationships and tailor solutions to the unique needs of each customer.

“This human-centred approach is our priority, whether supporting a large manufacturer or an individual client.”

Recent supply chain disruptions reinforced the value of being a reliable stocking distributor.

“TME’s ability to maintain inventory meant customers could keep projects on track even when the broader market faced delays,” notes Kobalczyk.

These experiences have shaped TME’s future operations by emphasising inventory planning, proactive sourcing, and responsive customer service, ensuring the company can continue to deliver critical components when and where they’re needed most.

Value-added services

TME continually enhances its offer through value-added services that extend beyond traditional distribution. These include custom sourcing for hard-to-find components, scheduled deliveries, and integration tools such as APIs and EDI, allowing clients to automate procurement and synchronise data with their internal systems.

Additionally, customers benefit from real-time shipment tracking, giving full visibility from order placement to delivery. The company’s logistics and IT departments work in close coordination to maintain this high level of transparency and operational control.

TME’s evolution also reflects its adaptability – whether meeting demand fluctuations, introducing new product categories, or expanding infrastructure, the company continues to respond dynamically to market needs while maintaining its customer-first principles.

TME also supports education and technical development worldwide through its TME Education initiative, which provides access to electronics training and resources in regions where opportunities in this field are still limited.

Overall, notes Kobalczyk, procurement professionals choose TME because it keeps critical components in stock, helping avoid production delays, while offering services like custom sourcing, scheduled deliveries, real-time inventory on the website, and shipment tracking.

“With competitive pricing and fast shipping, TME supports customer projects every step of the way, combining products and support to keep operations running smoothly.”

Looking ahead

As global supply chains grow increasingly complex, TME sees significant opportunities in providing faster logistics, broader inventory, and closer customer engagement. Continuous investment in automation, stock expansion, and regional presence supports this long-term vision.

The company will also continue strengthening its on-the-ground connections – through customer visits, trade shows, and direct partnerships – ensuring that every relationship is supported both digitally and personally.

“By combining global reach with local care, TME remains a trusted partner for engineers, designers, and procurement professionals – connecting innovation with availability, and reliability with growth,” said Kobalczyk.
