Qualcomm acquires Alphawave Semi for $2.4bn

Qualcomm has agreed to acquire Alphawave Semi through Aqua Acquisition Sub LLC, its indirectly wholly owned subsidiary. The recommended deal covers all issued and to-be-issued ordinary shares of Alphawave Semi and carries an implied enterprise value of approximately $2.4 billion.

Nordic accelerates Edge AI with acquisition of Neuton.AI

Nordic Semiconductor announced its acquisition of the intellectual property and core technology assets of Neuton.AI, a pioneer in fully automated TinyML solutions for Edge devices.

TI invests historic $60bn to manufacture semiconductors in US

Texas Instruments announced its plans to invest more than $60 billion across seven US semiconductor fabs, making this the largest investment in foundational semiconductor manufacturing in US history.

Working with the Trump administration and building on the company’s nearly 100-year legacy, TI is expanding its US manufacturing capacity to supply the growing need for semiconductors that will advance critical innovations from vehicles to smartphones to data centres. Combined, TI’s new manufacturing mega-sites in Texas and Utah will support more than 60,000 US jobs.
