Procurement Pro has announced details of a new webinar, which will explore the implications of recently introduced US tariffs on the electronics industry. The event will take place on 29th May at 3pm (BST).
Hosted by Paige West, Managing Editor of Procurement Pro, the session will bring together leading experts from across the sector to examine how new trade policies are reshaping global supply chains, procurement strategies, and operational costs within the electronics market.
Despite the recent announcement of a temporary de-escalation in US-China trade tensions, a webinar on the impact of tariffs remains highly relevant to stakeholders across the electronics supply chain. The suspension of elevated tariffs – while welcome – represents a pause, not a resolution. The agreement introduces a 90-day window of reduced duties, but offers little long-term certainty for manufacturers, procurement teams, or logistics managers planning operations beyond this short-term horizon.
The panel will provide analysis on how the industry is responding, with discussion points including:
- The immediate and long-term effects of the new US tariffs on electronics imports and exports
- Adjustments companies are making to mitigate costs and maintain supply chain efficiency
- Strategic responses to evolving global trade policies
- Opportunities for innovation and growth despite tariff challenges
Confirmed speakers for the webinar include:
