Wise-integration creates subsidiary to manage Asian business

Wise-integration, a French specialist in digital control for gallium nitride (GaN) and GaN ICs in power supply applications, has announced the establishment of a new subsidiary, Wise-integration Ltd., in Hong Kong.

This strategic move aims to support Chinese customers in achieving their power-performance and cost objectives while expanding the company’s growing presence in China.

The Hong Kong-based subsidiary will not only serve as the financial hub for regional transactions but will also significantly enhance Wise-integration’s footprint in the broader Asian market. By establishing this subsidiary, the company is positioning itself to capitalise on the extensive business opportunities in China, a market known for its strong demand for GaN-based power electronics solutions featuring digital control.

Thierry Bouchet, Wise-integration’s CEO, unveiled this development during the PCIM Asia Conference in Shenzhen, China. He remarked: “Wise-integration Ltd. is our gateway to tapping into the vast Chinese market. As our recent announcements have demonstrated, Asian companies are eager to partner with Wise-integration to integrate our innovative power-control technologies. With this Hong Kong-based subsidiary, we will focus on new opportunities in China, particularly in the premium consumer SMPS, light industrial, motor control, light e-transportation, and e-automotive sectors.”

Since its inception in 2020, Wise-integration has rapidly established itself as an award-winning innovator in the power electronics industry, amassing a portfolio of over ten patent families and launching two product lines. The WiseGan line includes GaN power integrated circuits designed to maximise the advantages of GaN technology, such as increased power density, efficiency, and reduced heat generation. The WiseWare line features a 32-bit, MCU-based AC-DC digital controller optimised for GaN-based power supply architectures, offering simplified system design, a reduced bill of materials, and enhanced power density and efficiency.

Over the past two years, Wise-integration has forged partnerships with companies in South Korea and Taiwan to bring its technologies to these markets. The company’s products cater to a wide range of applications, including consumer electronics, industrial robotics, data centres, and electric vehicles, all of which are increasingly demanding miniaturisation, electrification, and efficient power management.

Wise-integration Ltd., led by James Ho as China Business Development Director, is headquartered in the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park (HKSTP), a globally recognised centre of innovation and technology that houses over 2,000 companies.

Earlier this year, Wise-integration announced a successful Series B financing round, securing €15 million to further fuel its growth.

The company is making its debut at PCIM Asia, where it will showcase its innovative products, including the WiseGan GaN IC, WiseWare 32-bit MCU-based digital controller, and demonstration boards, at Hall 11, booth C44.
