Alan Anderson (AA) Manufacturing Ltd, a UK full-capability PCBA and Value-Add CEM, has enhanced its capacity to shield customers from the fluctuations in supply and demand and rising device costs by securing a second franchise deal.
The agreement is with Continental Device India Pvt. Ltd. (CDIL), a company established in 1964 as a semiconductor manufacturer, now offering a comprehensive range of discrete devices, including transistors, diodes, rectifiers, triacs, SCRs, voltage regulators, and TVS devices in both surface mount and leaded packages. Notably, CDIL also produces automotive-grade silicon carbide devices.

Whereas traditional CEMs are at the mercy of a volatile supply chain that too often experiences shortages and price hikes, at Alan Anderson we ensure supply by forging partnerships with our suppliers. All components are critical to complete a successful PCBA, not just the expensive microprocessor or FPGA. When we get a BOM from a customer, we can work through that with them, providing alternative solutions from suppliers such as CDIL, which focus entirely on the standard, low-margin parts that leading brand names de-prioritise when capacity becomes limited.”
CDIL is certified with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001 standards. In response to the global growth of electric vehicles (EVs), power management devices, and solar panels, CDIL has prioritised the development of silicon carbide (SiC) products. In 2023, it achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first Indian producer of SiC MOSFETs.
