IC’Alps and ams OSRAM enter foundry partner agreement

IC’Alps, designing ASIC, and ams OSRAM announced that they have entered in a foundry partnership agreement.

The Preferred Foundry Partner network, powered by ams OSRAM, aims at facilitating access to semiconductor foundry services for ASIC design houses like IC’Alps in order to achieve fast and reliable market launch of customised ICs and early access to new design and/or process data.

IC’Alps pursues its commitment in building a strong European semiconductor ecosystem and is very pleased to offer its design expertise in custom digital, analog and mixed-signal circuits to ams OSRAM’s foundry customers.

“We’re proud to have been selected and are eager to transform this partnership into meaningful value for our customers,” shared Lucille Engels, COO of IC’Alps. “Joining this network strengthens our capabilities as an independent design house, providing cutting-edge technical solutions close to the technology nodes that align with our clients’ specific needs.”

“We are excited to have IC’Alps join our Preferred Foundry Partner network as an ASIC design house with experience and expertise perfectly suited to take advantage of our semiconductor manufacturing facility in Austria,” said Mahdi Mekic, Director of ams OSRAM’s Full Service Foundry. “Our industry-standard technology nodes and variety of process options are specifically tailored for industrial, automotive, medical and other applications where long-term, high-quality, and stable supply is crucial. We believe that IC’Alps’s customers in these markets will be reaping significant benefits from our future collaboration.”
