Spirit Electronics announces partnership with Q-Tech

Spirit Electronics has announced its new role as a franchised distributor for Q-Tech Corporation, expanding its offerings with high-reliability crystal oscillators tailored for the aerospace and defence sectors.

Q-Tech is known for producing robust crystal oscillators suitable for space, military, avionics, and extreme environmental applications. This partnership enhances Spirit’s product lines for domestic space and defence markets, complemented by its extensive supply chain services such as MIL-STD-883 testing, circuit card assembly, and ASIC programmes.

“Q-Tech has a long-standing flight heritage with their product portfolio of crystal oscillators,” says Spirit CEO Marti McCurdy. “Q-Tech specialises in space- and defence-grade high-performance products that are essential to our customers’ mission success, making them an ideal supply chain partner.”

Q-Tech Corporation pioneered hybrid crystal oscillator technology, becoming the first manufacturer on the MIL-PRF-55310 qualified products list in 1972. Over the years, Q-Tech has maintained its reputation for excellence, providing oscillators for both government and commercial space programmes across the US and internationally. The company is celebrated for its high-reliability products, including temperature-controlled and radiation-hardened hybrid oscillators, designed to perform in the harshest environments.

By adding Q-Tech’s product portfolio, Spirit Electronics further strengthens its distribution lines that already include top-tier space- and defence-grade manufacturers of semiconductors, FPGAs, power management solutions, capacitors, interconnects, and more. Spirit Electronics excels in sourcing comprehensive bills of materials, performing rigorous MIL-STD-883 testing and screening, and executing precise circuit card assembly.

“Q-Tech’s design range and product development really complement Spirit’s agility and breadth of service for the space and defence markets,” concludes McCurdy.
