Su’scon and Rutronik announce global distribution agreement

Rutronik has entered into a global distribution agreement with Su’scon, headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan.

Su’scon, with over 45 years of expertise in aluminium electrolytic capacitors, specialises in the research, development, and manufacturing of capacitors. Its main product lines include aluminium electrolytic capacitors, polymer solid capacitors, and hybrid polymer capacitors, known for their ultra-low and high-temperature capabilities, long life, and extremely low ESR (equivalent series resistance).

This new global partnership enhances Rutronik’s passive component portfolio with an extensive range of capacitors available worldwide. Rutronik customers will benefit from this enriched selection.

“Su’scon’s philosophy is to continuously improve technology, innovation and sustainable operation, and gradually promote Sus’con toward the market and provide customers with global services. This requires a trusted partner like Rutronik,” said Edward Hsueh, Vice President Sales & Marketing at Su’scon. “We have a great product, and Rutronik has a strong global sales and marketing team and a long history in the automotive and industrial sectors. We appreciate Rutronik’s good reputation in the market and they are a trusted partner to us.”

“We are excited to start business with Su’scon as they have been established in the Asian market with high quality products for more than 40 years,” said Stefan Sutalo, Vice President Product Marketing Passive Components at Rutronik. “There is great potential for our customers in industrial and automotive applications in America, Asia, and Europe.”

Latest capacitor series for the automotive market

Su’scon’s UR Series is a radial-type aluminium electrolytic capacitor designed specifically for automotive applications. It is suitable for automotive thermal management systems and complies with the AEC-Q200 automotive specification standard. Key features include:

  • High temperature resistance
  • High ripple current capacity
  • Long life
  • Rated operating temperature up to 135 °C

Additionally, Su’scon’s SVB series is an SMD-type conductive polymer hybrid capacitor, also designed for automotive applications and meeting the AEC-Q200 standard. It features:

  • Low impedance
  • High ripple current resistance
  • Long service life
  • Rated operating temperature up to 125 °C

These characteristics make the SVB series ideal for on-board chargers (OBC), battery management systems (BMS), motor microcontrollers, and other critical applications.
