Avnet Silica powering shift to smarter energy solutions

Avnet Silica, an Avnet company, provided details of its participation in the power electronics exhibition, PCIM Europe, which is taking place between 6-8th May 2025 in Nuremberg, Germany.

At the show, Avnet Silica will highlight its power expertise as well as demonstrating the latest technologies across three key areas – wide-bandgap, silicon, and ecosystem partners. With sophisticated power solutions from leading suppliers, Avnet Silica’s expert team is on hand to assist engineers in optimising the efficiency, reliability and intelligence of both existing infrastructure, and in creating the next generation of power applications. Visitors can expect to find the following demos at Stand 7-622:

Wide-bandgap technology:

  • STMicroelectronics’ 11kW bidirectional battery charger, with capability for bidirectional DC wallbox functionality and smart energy management
  • onsemi’s 1kW LED Lighting board, achieving over 95% efficiency for optimal performance
  • Navitas’ 4kW Server SMPS, demonstrating exceptional power density
  • Renesas’ latest GaN advancements

Silicon technology:

  • onsemi’s 300kW eCAV Inverter demo, based on its advanced FS7 technology
  • Diodes’ Power Tree demo, highlighting the performance of its Si DCDC portfolio alongside an IntelliFET application
  • Nexperia’s LV Mosfet and IGBT Demo, including insights into wafer technology and potential motor control applications

Ecosystem partners:

  • Cirtem’s 6KvA DC-AC Inverter and 150 kW Electrical Motor Controller
  • Ideas in Motion’s Motor Inverter
  • Salom’s AC/DC Small Watt Power solutions

Visitors will also be able to view onsemi’s EliteSiC Simulator and get a glimpse into advanced power design and analysis tools at the stand. Additional solutions on display include products courtesy of Diodes, Microchip Technology, Monolithic Power Systems, PANJIT, and ROHM Semiconductor.

PCIM 2025 will be the ideal opportunity to explore how Avnet Silica is powering the shift to better energy solutions and to engage with its technical specialists, who can provide expert advice on how to enhance and future-proof power systems. The distributor’s commitment to delivering power systems tailored to each application’s specific requirements ensures that engineers are equipped with the most effective and innovative solutions to propel their businesses forward in an increasingly energy-conscious global market.
