Adam Fletcher, Chairman of the Electronic Components Supply Network (ecsn), has announced the appointment of Simon Meadmore to the association’s Leadership Group steering committee.

Meadmore, representing long-standing ecsn member RS Components, brings over 30 years of experience in the electronic components industry. His wealth of knowledge will be an asset to the Leadership Group and, through them, to the broader ecsn membership.

Simon Meadmore’s career began as a junior purchasing assistant at Circatech Ltd, a Hereford-based EMS provider. From there, he advanced to Pace Micro Technology, where he held the role of Senior Buyer – Memory Products by the end of his five-year tenure. In 2004, Meadmore transitioned into electronic component distribution by joining Farnell, where he spent two decades leading several key product divisions with significant success. In May 2024, he joined RS Components to head the company’s Semiconductor and Passive category for the EMEA region.

Outside of his professional life, Meadmore resides in Otley, West Yorkshire, with his wife Jo. The couple enjoys regular walks in Otley’s Chevin park, appreciating the area’s natural beauty.
