TTI IP&E – Europe announced its participation in the Paris Air Show, taking place from June 16-22nd.
Visitors are invited to the TTI booth (Hall 2b, G125) to explore advanced IP&E solutions supporting the evolving aerospace and new space markets. TTI Europe will be showcasing components that align with the future trend of electronics in these critical sectors. A key focus will be the introduction of two significant suppliers, Panasonic Industry and Samtec, who are being launched into these market spaces through TTI.
Samtec, a new franchise partner for TTI as of February 2025, offers a high-speed, ruggedised, and flexible approach to connector solutions. Its focus areas include RF, optics, and power. Samtec is noted for its technical agility, flexibility, and exceptionally quick prototyping capabilities, which often deliver within days. They are particularly relevant for the future market due to their fibre optic solutions, which are important for handling high-speed data and offering lightweighting benefits compared to conventional copper in applications like camera systems and Lidar on satellites. Samtec products are also characterised by their long-term availability, as the company aims to never make anything obsolete.
Panasonic Industry, a long-standing TTI franchise partner for nearly 20 years, is now strategically entering the aerospace and new space markets exclusively through TTI Europe. It will focus on passive components, including hybrid, electrolytic, and film capacitors; thin film and thick film resistors; and inductors. Drawing on extensive experience from other industries, Panasonic Industry applies a conservative approach, adding multiple layers of testing and modification to meet the demands of the aerospace and new space industries. The company also maintains a very coherent change notice process, including obsolescence and last-time buys, although such changes are quite rare for their passive products.
Both suppliers have a strong foundation in the automotive industry, a sector that avionics manufacturers are increasingly looking to for proven solutions. They offer regional local technical product support, backed by TTI’s large technical development team with expertise in the aerospace and new space industries.
TTI recognises the ongoing trend towards fibre optic solutions in both new space and traditional aerospace applications, driven by the need for high-speed data handling and weight reduction. While this transition is still in its early stages, the potential for quick adoption, particularly in new space constellations, is significant. TTI is also engaged in the electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) market, involved in designs and poised to supply products once flight certifications are obtained.
“Our presence at the Paris Air Show underscores TTI’s commitment to supporting the future trend of electronics in the aerospace and space markets,” says Lee Thompson, European Marketing Director, Defence, Aerospace and Space Markets at TTI Europe. “By bringing innovative partners like Panasonic Industry and Samtec to these critical sectors, combined with our established technical expertise and robust supply chain, we provide engineers with the advanced, agile solutions they need to drive the next-generation aerospace and new space designs.”
In addition to the featured suppliers, TTI offers products from a wide portfolio of leading manufacturers. TE AD&M offers interconnect, relay and sensor solutions and a special focus on the urban mobility market. Amphenol provides a wide portfolio of interconnect and sensor products for avionics. Glenair provides connector and wire & cable solutions in mission-critical air and space applications. Honeywell and Littelfuse offer market-leading ranges of sensors and switches. KYOCERA AVX brings an expansion to its capacitor and RF ranges of products alongside its already strong portfolio to support aerospace and space. Last but not least, Yageo and Vishay have a growing range of passive products that meet today’s standards for applications in aerospace and space.
Come and meet the TTI IP&E Europe team and representatives from Panasonic Industry and Samtec at Hall 2b, Booth G125 to discuss your program requirements.
