Waldom Electronics brought the energy to EDS 2025

Waldom Electronics returned to the EDS Leadership Summit 2025 as a Gold Sponsor, once again contributing to this pivotal industry gathering with a week of impactful conversations, strategic meetings, and its most successful Waldom Blackjack Tournament to date.

Held on the Monday night of the conference, the Waldom Blackjack 2025 event brought together over 250 industry professionals, marking the tournament’s highest attendance in history. The evening served as a dynamic platform to strengthen partnerships, connect with leaders across the supply chain, and celebrate the power of collaboration in a high-energy, engaging setting.

“We’re always looking for ways to bring people together in meaningful and memorable ways,” said Don Akery, CEO of Waldom Electronics. “The blackjack tournament has grown into more than just a game – it’s a celebration of the strong, enduring relationships that drive this industry forward.”

Waldom congratulates this year’s tournament winners, including Kim Bower (Neutrik), Stephanie Tierney (ECIA), Christine Wolnik (ECIA), Jennifer Daprato (Knowles), Rob Toenies (Newark), and Vicki Swiader (ODU). Additional exclusive prizes were awarded throughout the evening, making it a night to remember for many attendees.

In a continued commitment to sustainability, several winners chose to donate their winnings to support environmental initiatives. As a result, Waldom will plant 6,000 trees on behalf of these generous individuals – an inspiring gesture that aligns with Waldom’s broader ESG goals.

Throughout the week, Waldom’s presence extended beyond the blackjack table. The Waldom team engaged in high-impact conversations with manufacturers, distributors, and partners, reflecting on growth opportunities, strategic alignment, and the future of electronics distribution. The company’s beloved mascot Waldy also made a surprise appearance, bringing an extra dose of energy and fun to the summit.

“As we wrap up another memorable EDS, we want to thank everyone who stopped by, connected with us, and helped make this week so special,” said Akery. “We’re leaving EDS inspired and energised for what’s next.”
