PCIM Asia 2024 is scheduled to take place from 28-30th August at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Centre.
This year’s event will expand to 20,000sqm and feature 232 exhibitors, marking a 28% increase in participation compared to 2023. The event will highlight the latest in power electronics across multiple sectors, with key sponsors including Mitsubishi Electric, Semikron Danfoss, Fuji Electric, Infineon, and ROHM.
Notable exhibitors will range from AST Technology to Wolfspeed, reflecting the broad industry engagement. The fair will also see the participation of several first-time exhibitors focused on electric vehicle (EV) technology, such as VCTC, Bosch, and Amulaire, responding to the rapid growth of China’s EV market.
Diverse programme of events
The event will host a series of forums and roundtable discussions on critical topics, including e-mobility, clean energy, energy storage, and wide bandgap (WBG) semiconductors. These sessions are designed to foster knowledge exchange among exhibitors, visitors, researchers, and industry experts.
A new round-table discussion titled ‘Power Source Technology of Low-altitude eVTOL’ will be held on 28th August, focusing on the role of power electronics in advancing electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. This discussion aligns with the Greater Bay Area’s ambitions to develop its low-altitude aviation sector.
University-enterprise job fair
On 30th August, PCIM Asia will introduce a University-Enterprise Job Fair aimed at enhancing collaboration between academia and industry. Over 13 companies, including VCTC and MacMic Science & Technology Co Ltd, will participate, offering attendees the opportunity to connect with potential employers and explore career opportunities through a dedicated job board available throughout the event.
PCIM Asia Conference 2024
The PCIM Asia Conference 2024 will run concurrently with the exhibition. The conference will feature keynote speeches, oral sessions, and poster dialogues, covering essential topics such as intelligent motion, renewable energy, and energy management. This gathering will bring together experts from both industry and academia to share insights and the latest research findings.
