Farnell celebrates 30-year milestone in the Nordics

Farnell celebrated the 30th anniversary of opening its first dedicated offices serving the Nordics.

In 1994, Farnell opened offices in Solna, Copenhagen, and Espoo to provide high-service distribution across the region. After three decades of delivering creativity and excellence in customer service, the Nordics team now comprises eleven full-time specialists working across diverse areas of the business, including sales and marketing.

Before the Nordics offices opened, Farnell customers were served from the UK. By providing an experienced team closer to the customer both culturally and geographically, Farnell offered opportunities for face-to-face contact and better understood the specific needs of local customers.

Ghita Hoyer, Farnell Regional Sales Manager Nordics, said: “We strive to be close to our customers, understand their needs, and support them in local language, as they journey from design and prototype to production and maintenance. In addition to offering support regarding on-board components, we also offer a comprehensive range of test equipment & tools, soldering equipment, and industrial automation products.

“As I look back at my own journey of 30 years serving customers across the Nordics, I would like to express my deepest gratitude. My great Nordic sales team, as well as all our service functions, work hard every day to meet our customers’ needs, and luckily, we have wonderful customers who, day after day, show us their commitment and trust. While I look back with wonderful memories I am also looking ahead, and I am very excited for the future and what Farnell can deliver for our customers across the Nordics.”
