A delegation of leading Taiwanese technology leaders will visit Cambridge on the 29th September 2026 as part of a wider UK tour exploring opportunities to invest, build commercial partnerships with British businesses, and connect with the UK’s technology ecosystem.
Organised by Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association (CIECA), and hosted in Cambridge by Innovate Cambridge, Cambridge Enterprise, Cambridge & Peterborough Combined Authority, and Cambridge Innovation Capital alongside wider ecosystem stakeholders, the visit will bring Taiwanese founders, chairs, CEOs, senior executives, and investors into one of the world’s leading innovation clusters, with a focus on semiconductors and advanced technologies.
Cambridge is Europe’s most intensive science and technology cluster, with a combined value of $191 billion. It represents 18% of the UK’s tech ecosystem and has produced 29 billion-dollar companies. International investment into the cluster has grown significantly, with overseas investors now involved in nearly 40% of all deals, up from just 7% a decade ago.
Access to Cambridge’s innovation ecosystem will provide the Taiwanese delegation an opportunity to meet with potential customers, technology partners, leading Cambridge companies and investors. It will enable them to explore opportunities for UK market entry and expansion, supply-chain connections, access to investment and growth capital, technology licensing, R&D collaborations, and the co-development and deployment of new technologies.
During their visit, delegates will be hosted by Innovate Cambridge at the Glasshouse, where they will gain insight into how one of the world’s leading innovation ecosystems transforms research excellence into globally successful companies. The delegates will also visit Arm, one of the world’s biggest semiconductor companies, to explore opportunities for collaboration across AI, automotive, consumer electronics, and advanced computing. The programme also includes visits to The Bradfield Centre and Cambridge West Innovation District.
